DILG R1 Hosts VaxCertPH Orientation for Region I, II, and CAR

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 1 thru its Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU) and Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) hosted the VaxCertPH Orientation for Region I, II, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), in preparation for the forthcoming National Roll-out of VaxCertPH, September 29.

Among the topics discussed are the Reporting and Validation Tool for LGUs, Data Quality Analysis, System Readiness, LGU Readiness, LGU Booth Preparation, and Communication Strategies.

San Jose, CESO IV of DILG-CAR, Provincial Directors, DILG Field Officers, VaxCertPH Coordinators from LGUs, as well as senior officials from the Department of Health (DOH) and other partner agencies participated in the said orientation.

Before the activity, a soft launch of VaxCertPH was held last September 3, 2021 in the National Capital Region (NCR) limited only to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and International Travelers. It was followed by the soft launch of VaxCertPH Rollout in Regions III and IV-A, Metro Cebu, and Davao City, which was scheduled last September 24, 2021.

The DICT, in coordination with other concerned agencies including the DILG, developed the VaxCertPH, a digital system and application that aims to unify the format for the issuance of the digital vaccine certificate and ensure that the same conforms to international standards.

As provided in DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-0951, the program will be implemented nationwide by the concerned agencies through the Local Government Units (LGUs).
